Rehabilitation of Drinking Water Supply Systems (C2)

The project aims to rehabilitate and build drinking water supply systems across 14 cities in Cameroon.
Bangoua
New centre including:
- - Laying of a 3.7 km HDPE OD 140 supply main.
- - Construction of a new 300 m³ storage tank in reinforced concrete.
- - Construction of technical buildings including a valve chamber and a calcium hypochlorite dosing room.
- - Construction of 5 break pressure tanks of 10 m³ capacity on the distribution network.
- - Laying of a 14.67km HDPE distribution network (OD 140, 110, 90 and 63).
Bankim
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Rehabilitation of the intake and the raw water pumping station.
- - Rehabilitation and upgrade of the treatment plant (20 m³/h).
- - Rehabilitation of the treated water pump and reinstallation of the hydro-mechanical equipment on the treated water main towards the reservoir.
- - Cleaning and disinfection of the elevated tank.
- - Reinforcement of the distribution network with the laying of 8km HDPE OD 90 pipes.
- - Construction of a 7km MV electrical line and installation of a 100 kVA transformer.
- - Replacement of the generator.
- - Construction of the operator’s office for Camwater.
Banyo
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Construction of 2 pre-sedimentation basins.
- - Construction of a new storage tank - 200 m³.
- - Construction of an operator’s office for the CDE.
- - Construction of a new borehole.
- - Densification of the distribution network with the laying of 4.94km HDPE OD 110 pipes and 3.15km HDPE OD 160 pipes.
Chidifi
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Drainage and fencing works.
- - Rehabilitation, cleaning and disinfection of the storage tank.
- - Replacement of defective hydro-mechanical parts on the treated water main.
Dimako
New Centre:
- - Construction of a new raw water intake, installation of raw water pumps and laying of a 150m HDPE OD 110 raw water main.
- - Construction of a treatment plant in concrete (30 m³/h).
- - Construction of a 70 m³ treated water slab.
- - Construction of the pump room and installation of the treated water pumping.
- - Laying of a 2 km HDPE OD 110 treated water main.
- - Construction of a 300 m³ elevated tank.
- - Construction of a 1 km MV electrical line and installation of a 100 kVA transformer.
- - Densification of the distribution network with laying of 3km HDPE OD 160 and 5km HDPE OD 110 pipes.
- - Construction of the operator’s office.
Djoum
New centre including:
- - Construction of 4 boreholes (8 to 10 m³/h).
- - Installation of treatment units (disinfection).
- - Construction of technical buildings.
- - Construction of a 1.5km MV electrical line and installation of a 100 kVA transformer.
- - Laying of a 2.75km HDPE OD 160 treated water main.
- - Rehabilitation of the 2 existing elevated tanks.
- - Densification of the distribution network with the laying of 4.52km HDPE OD 160 and 3.48km HDPE OD 110 pipes.
- - Construction of the operator’s office.
Figuil
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Drainage and fencing works.
- - Rehabilitation, cleaning and disinfection of the storage tank.
- - Reinstallation of hydro-mechanical parts on the treated water main.
- - Full renovation of the mixing and dosing building and reinstallation of the disinfection units.
- - Densification of the distribution network with laying of 8.25km HDPE OD 90 and HDPE OD 110 pipes.
Lomié
New centre:
- - Construction of a new raw water intake, installation of raw water pumps and laying of a 100m HDPE OD 160 raw water main.
- - Construction of a new water treatment plant in concrete (60 m³/h).
- - Construction of a 130 m³ concrete tank.
- - Construction of the pump room and installation of the treated water pumps.
- - Laying of a 3.4 km HDPE OD 160 treated water main.
- - Construction of a 500 m³ reservoir.
- - Construction of a 3.2 km MV electrical line and installation of a 160 kVA transformer.
- - Densification of the distribution network with the laying of 6.15km HDPE OD 160 and 1.85km HDPE OD 200 pipes.
- - Construction of the operator’s office.
Mayo Oulo
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Drainage and fencing works.
- - Rehabilitation, cleaning and disinfection of the storage tank.
- - Full renovation of the dosing building and reinstallation of the disinfection unit.
- - Densification of the distribution network with the laying of 8 km of HDPE OD 90 and OD 110 pipes.
Mbalmayo
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Rehabilitation of the intake and the raw water pumping station.
- - Rehabilitation and upgrade of the water treatment plant (500 m³/h).
- - Rehabilitation of the treated water pumping station and reinstallation of the hydro-mechanical equipment on the treated water main towards the elevated tank.
- - Rehabilitation of the elevated tank.
- - Construction of a new 1500 m³ elevated tank.
- - Laying of a 2.4km HDPE OD 400 treated water main towards the new elevated tank.
- - Densification of the distribution network with laying of 2.16km HDPE OD 450, 600m HDPE OD 315, 2.80km HDPE OD 250 and 2.40km HDPE OD 200 pipes.
Mbe
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Rehabilitation and upgrade of the boreholes (20m³/h).
- - Removal of the lamellar clarifier and filter and installation of a new filter.
- - Rehabilitation of the treated water pumping station.
- - Reinstallation of the disinfection unit.
- - Reinstallation of the control panel, the local cabinets, tertiary and the commissioning.
- - Reinstallation of the existing generator.
- - Rehabilitation, cleaning and disinfection of the elevated tank.
- - Reinstallation of the damaged part of the treated water main.
- - Densification of the distribution network with laying of 8km HDPE OD 90 pipes.
Pitoa
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Densification of the distribution network with laying of 8.45 km HDPE OD 90 and HDPE OD 110 pipes.
Sa'a
Rehabilitation works including:
- - Construction of a weir.
- - Construction of 4 boreholes (5 m³/h each).
- - Installation of a 22 kVA generator.
- - Construction of a technical building.
- - Laying of a 4 km HDPE OD160 treated water main.
- - Connection of the boreholes to the storage tank.
Yoko
New Centre including:
- - Construction and equipment of 4 boreholes (7 m³/h each).
- - Densification of the distribution network with the laying of 11km HDPE pipes (OD 110 and OD 90).
- - Laying of a 3.2km HDPE OD 160 treated water main.
- - Construction of the treatment (disinfection) unit, with hydromechanical and electrical connections.
- - Construction of a new 200 m³ storage tank in reinforced concrete.
