Construction, Rehabilitation and Extension of Cameroonian Water Supply Systems (Phase 1 - T1)

The project aims to rehabilitate and build water supply systems within the whole country. The contract is divided into 5 phases:

 

Bogo

New system including:

  •  - Construction of 3 boreholes (5 + 18 + 10 m³/h).
  •  - Construction of a chlorination station.
  •  - Laying of a 4 km of HDPE delivery main OD 160 – SDR 11.
  •  - Construction of a 200 m³ elevated storage tank (concrete, 15 + 5m).
  •  - Laying of a 14 km HDPE distribution network.
  •  - Construction of the operator’s office for billing and revenue collection.
  •  - Connection to the power grid.

 

Douala Wouri

Rehabilitation work including:

  •  - Replacement of a 30 years old ductile iron pipe under the Wouri bridge (720 m, HDPE OD 400 SDR 11).
  •  - Installation of a 420 m ductile iron OD 500 pipe along one of the busiest street of the city to reinforce the primary network;
  •  - Rehabilitation of a 2,550 m³/h pumping station in Ndogbong (replacement of pumps, pipe work, replacement of electrical control panel, replacement of transformer sub-station and installation of a new MV underground power cable).

 

Jikejem Oku

New system including:

  •  - Construction of a river weir.
  •  - Construction of a sedimentation tank.
  •  - Construction of a chlorination station.
  •  - Construction of 5 break pressure tanks.
  •  - Laying of a 7 km HDPE distribution network.
  •  - Construction of an operator’s office for billing and revenue collection.

 

Maroua

Rehabilitation work including:

  •  - Construction of a borehole (140 m³/h).
  •  - Construction of a chlorination station.
  •  - Connection to the power grid.
  •  - Replacement of 7 km of main pipes in the city (to reduce leakages).

 

Mbankomo

New system including:

  •  - Construction of one borehole (35 m³/h).
  •  - Construction of a chlorination station.
  •  - Laying of a 2.5 km of HDPE delivery main OD 160 - SDR 11.
  •  - Construction of one 200 m³ concrete reservoir.
  •  - Laying of a 13 km HDPE distribution network.
  •  - Construction of an operator’s office for billing and revenue collection.
  •  - Connection to the power grid.
